During a two-part session, Dieter Roelstraete employs a peripatetic, meandering approach. First, we engage in a short excursion, or rather a “poetic ramble through the landscape” of the city, spurred on by a number of artistic strategies wedding work and walks in urban spaces. Subsequently, during a listening comprehension session (Hörverstehen) at Tokonoma, Roelstraete narrates some spurious and compelling connections between certain musical legacies. These day and night components lay the foundations for developing new cartographies of thought and practice in further sessions.
