“Methexis” is an ancient Greek theater term (μετέχω) which refers to a special kind of group sharing in which the audience participates, creates, and improvises the ritual on stage. In the platonic sense, it is a kind of soul-to-soul exchange between a particle and a form. During this session, Marina Fokidis—founder of Kunsthalle Athena and South as a State of Mind magazine—reflects on the precarities and solidarities of working together within the ecology of a post-crisis art field, and the Greek context as paradigm.
