A LaSmala Banda concert is one thing above all: a huge fiesta where you’ll dance until you can’t any more. Ska, rumba, salsa, cumbia, reggae, hip-hop as well as the faraway sounds of tango and nostalgic bolero are all stops on their journey through a thousand musical roots.
This ten-musician orchestra has played in front of every kind of crowd imaginable and to visitors of every age—bringing audiences, from Chile to France, at over 400 events and festivals to their feet.
During their “Vayven” tour in 2016, LaSmala Banda traveled through diverse corners of Europe, playing in the intimate ambiance of the small Théâtre de France, underground clubs like Berlin’s Rummels Bucht, and in front of a festival of almost 10,000 spectators at the Les Jeudis du Port in Brest, France.
