Methods of cooking and eating together often come to us in collectively authored, oral, and gestural forms, handed down by word of mouth and via migration. This bodily anthology or “digest” is a way for documenta 14 aneducation to consider the high stakes of living together and encounter; an unlikely stew of ingredients, people, and pasts gives forth a “nourishing knowledge.” During the documenta 14 exhibition in Athens and Kassel, aneducation cooks a series of meals with a number of guest artists and neighbors, with a support team ranging from sous chefs to food truck drivers.
