An event proposed by the African Network of Greece offers a breath of cool air to the evening of Friday, July 14 and gives the citizens of Athens the opportunity to taste some typical summer drinks of Africa. In collaboration with the Inter Alia organization, the Greek Forum of Migrants, and the Victoria Square Project, the African Network of Greece invites you to get to know the activities of our organizations, have a cool, alcohol-free drink, and attend a program of African dance and music.
On the occasion of the “Grapes of Wrath” project organized and implemented by Inter Alia in collaboration with organizations from Senegal, Kenya, Ghana, and Italy, we join forces to pursue our common goal. We hope to have the participation of everyone — Greek and foreign men and women, migrants, and locals.
• Victoria Square Project: This is the ongoing social sculpture of artist Rick Lowe, who was invited to participate in documenta 14, the international contemporary art exhibition hosted in Athens for the first time.
• Greek Forum of Migrants: A network of forty migrant organizations and communities whose main objective is to contribute to the integration of immigrants in Greek society by encouraging the involvement of the immigrants themselves and their collective and individual responsibility.
• African Network of Greece: A network of African communities and organizations.
• Inter Alia: Inter Alia is an organization of the citizens’ society which operates as an Athens-based think tank. Since 2013 it has managed numerous action plans in the fields of education, research, skill development, and memory formation. The mission of Inter Alia is to raise the awareness of European citizens on available channels for acting, participating, and shaping Europe.
